With an outstanding background as an instructor, and over 15 years of teaching experience, Katie brings both her passion and her expertise to the arena, helping you believe & achieve!
At the age of 10, Katie began riding dressage under the instruction of Pat Heeg at Prairieview Farm in Greenville, WI. She took to horses easily and decided to chase her dreams of owning her own income producing horse farm. After graduating from Neenah High School she attended the University of Minnesota–Crookston. While studying in Crookston she rode on both the western/reining team and hunter/jumper team. In the spring of 2005 she was placed 10th in the nation by the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association in western equitation at the national competition. Her final year in college she coached the UMC Hunter/Jumper team and taught the lab portions of equine reproduction techniques and equine production. In December 2005, she graduated from Crookston with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Industries Management. She is also a certified equine sports massage therapist. Katie and her husband Luke purchased their farm and named it Lucky Stables LLC in June 2007. Outside of teaching Katie enjoys being active outdoors and spending time with her two sons and husband.
